Duties and Responsibilities

Supports Aircraft on Ground (AOG), Maintenance and Supply Chain with critical part requirements by fulfilling variable demands that impact the operation.  Sources aircraft parts, initiates purchase orders, expedites existing orders and coordinates logistics to meet immediate and future requirements.



  • Coordinates internal and external parts movements for the recovery of out of service aircraft.
  • Analyzes, recommends and coordinates the most cost effective and time efficient means of movement of parts and materials to support operational needs.
  • Coordinates between maintenance planning, materials planning and material services to ensure material availability for schedule requirements.
  • Communicates updates and shipping information through the department log, as well as various reports.
  • Analyzes trends in departmental purchase orders, reviews current minimum / maximum levels and notifies Inventory Planning regarding adjusting the levels.
  • Coordinates with Warranty and Repair expeditor to request parts and materials be expedited from repair to support scheduled and unscheduled events.
  • Assists and supports Heavy Check Coordinators to ensure timely completion of aircrafts.
  • Reviews inventory levels of all tires, batteries and critical parts at bases daily; restocks these parts by moving the needed supply to ensure ongoing availability.
  • Coordinates the movement of aircraft engines to and from the bases and vendors.
  • Verifies accuracy of requested part.  Identifies cross reference and interchangeable parts and consults Engineering for approval to use.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Aviation, Engineering or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 
  • Prefer at least 3 years of experience in airline industry desired.
  • Requires at least 1 year of experience in airline industry in lieu of specialty training beyond high school in aviation, engineering or related field
