Overview

Republic Airline, based in Indianapolis, operates a fleet of 180 Embraer 170/175 aircraft and offers scheduled passenger service with 900 daily flights to 100 cities in 35 U.S. states, Canada, the Caribbean and Central America.  The airline provides fixed-fee flights operated under our major airline partner brands of American Eagle, Delta Connection and United Express.

Duties and Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

 

Performs a variety of administrative activities in facilitating the recruitment process, to include, but not limited to the pre-screening of resumes and applications, conducting background investigations, and arranging travel and lodging accommodations for candidates and trainees. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  1. Conducts background checks for new hire First Officer Trainees in compliance with PRIA.
  2. Supplies records to requesting airlines within regulated timeframes in compliance with PRIA.
  3. Serves as primary point-of-contact for applicants, trainees, and current pilots in answering questions regarding the progress of all background verifications.
  4. Maintains effective communications with impacted stakeholders.
  5. Maintains and revises PRIA manual, as well as communicating to appropriate parties.
  6. Supports Compliance team regarding employee compliance checks and orientation when required.
  7. Contributes ideas and actions towards the continuous improvement of the Compliance Dept. including development and maintenance of operational procedures.
  8. Assists with maintaining and developing PRIA metrics for reporting.
  9. Performs other projects or duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least 1 years of related experience, or equivalent combination.  Strong verbal, oral, and computer skills.  Excellent communication, teamwork, organization and follow-through skills. 
  • Preferred:  Associate’s degree or equivalent.  Additional administrative/clerical experience.  Aviation and Human Resources a plus. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
  • Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies.  Impact of decisions is moderately low. 
  • Able to move about the work environment. 
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. 
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight stays
