Duties and Responsibilities


Oversees, leads, directs and oversees the financial analysis function of FP&A.

  1. Collaborates with and advises divisional leaders on the planning and execution of strategic initiatives; ensures that key business unit decisions are in line with corporate goals.
  2. Leads analyses of capital expenditure and department operating proposals, resulting in quantification of benefits, prioritization of competing proposals, and preparation of presentation packages for executive management as required
  3. Analyzes financial performance versus forecast and plan, and investigates variances, and communicates findings and recommendations to leadership
  4. Develops operational, profitability, expense, and liquidity analysis and other key performance metrics to help the business leaders understand the health of business and assist in developing action plans for improvement and optimizing their financial results
  5. Conduct and support ad-hoc analyses on issues throughout company as assigned
  6. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with business units, counterparts, and other internal and external customers, etc. to achieve business results.
  7. Ensures adherence to departmental budget.
  8. Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
  9. Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential associates. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports.  Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.




The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.



  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in a quantitative discipline, Finance or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 7 years related experience in financial planning and analysis with at least 2 years supervisory and/or managerial experience.
  • Expertise in modeling and financial analysis using Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative capabilities including spreadsheet, data-management, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial and budgeting processes
  • Experience implementing effective controls and processes



        An MBA in a related field.  Experience with Host Analytics preferred.





Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.



Makes decisions to support strategic decisions.  Decisions tend to be medium range and of medium significance with moderate consequences.
