Overview

Republic Airline, based in Indianapolis, operates a fleet of 180 Embraer 170/175 aircraft and offers scheduled passenger service with 900 daily flights to 100 cities in 35 U.S. states, Canada, the Caribbean and Central America.  The airline provides fixed-fee flights operated under our major airline partner brands of American Eagle, Delta Connection and United Express.

Duties and Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

 

Supports the company’s compliance in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Aircraft Reporting and Compliance System (ARCS), as well as assisting regulatory compliance managers on audits, training, and safety data updates. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Coordinates with maintenance and maintenance control on correct water sampling and to ensure samples which fail testing have the water shut off on the corresponding aircraft.
  2. Performs follow up to ensure aircraft and water sampling has been recorded in the ARCS database.
  3. Maintains detailed records to include all pertinent information related to ARCS.  Verifies information in ARCS against what was inputted in internal systems.
  4. Updates information in company applications as needed
  5. Compiles data for reporting purposes.
  6. Tracks the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions and provides progress updates.  Verifies that Maintenance has documented all work correctly.  Requests corrections as needed.
  7. Assists in the implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with company and industry guidance.
  8. Supports the regulatory compliance managers in performing audits of hangar and line maintenance facilities, DOT reporting requirements, chemical review process. 
  9. Supports AOG and hazardous goods shipping.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. / B.A.) or equivalent in Environmental Science or similar field or a combination of education and experience.  At least 3 years of related experience, preferably with air carrier quality and/or safety program management.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple time sensitive tasks and work well under pressure while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. 
  • Experience with water quality testing and reporting.
  • Understanding of relevant 14 CFR and FARs.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 
  • Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured.  Decisions tend to be short term and usually moderate cost. 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel.
