    Duties and Responsibilities

    POSITION PURPOSE
    Oversees the daily workflow and support of the Supply Chain Analysts group.  Develops performance metrics,  analyzes costs and coordinates improvement initiatives.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    1. Leads all Supply Chain activities for assigned aircraft fleets and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Service Providers. Interfaces with Engineering, Maintenance, Production Planning and Quality Assurance to identify and define fleet material and service requirements.
    2. Ensures fleet material and service requirements are communicated, understood and executed throughout the Supply Chain organization including Material Planning, Purchasing, Repair & Warranty and Material Services to guarantee sources of supply.
    3. Manages MRO vendor evaluation and selection. Administers vendor invoice approval processes to ensure material is provided at the lowest overall cost including factors such as acquisition, inventory and transportation.  Provides regular reporting of vendor performance and cost metrics.
    4. Maintains visibility of total Supply Chain costs for assigned fleets. Identifies cost savings opportunities and coordinates improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain organization, including harvesting fleet warranties and maintenance reserve recovery.
    5. Monitors specific activities in the Supply Chain organization to ensure service levels are met or exceeded. Develops and implements key performance metrics to document performance and measure improvement.
    6. Supports multiple Supply Chain departments with budget preparation and contract negotiations utilizing data and forecasting tools.
    7. Collaborates with other departments within Republic on various projects.
    8. Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports.  Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.
    9. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply chain, Aviation or related field with at least seven years experience in supply chain and leadership.  Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.  Possess a firm understanding of LEAN concepts. 

     

     

    OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

                Exceptional computer, analytical, research and documentation skills.  Strong skills using Microsoft Excel, Access and other applications.  Able to work on high level projects while maintaining confidentiality.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured.  Decisions tend to be short term and usually moderate cost.

     

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Additional years of experience in supply chain analytics and supervision.  Six Sigma Black Belt.  MRO contract development and administration experience.  Experience with Tableau, Mini-Tab and other statistical data tools.
